2025-04-25
Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly recently interviewed FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary for The Megyn Kelly Show podcast. Beginning at about 3:55 in the YouTube news clip, Dr. Makary responds to a question about Rx advertising on television saying: "We don't have any plans to ban direct-to-consumer advertising. But there are some things that we can do to make sure that the information being presented is a complete picture."

In response, Jim Potter, CHC executive director said: "We appreciate Dr. Markary's clarifying remarks and look forward to working with the FDA to help ensure that prescription drug ads present a complete picture." Potter added: "However, should a prescription drug ad ban emerge from another part of the administration or at the state level, it will be met with a legal challenge."
